Summary: The Cyber Resilience Recovery Lead is a temporary role focused on developing and implementing a comprehensive Recovery Runbook in response to ransomware incidents. This position requires strong leadership and collaboration with various teams to enhance the organization's cyber resilience strategy. The successful candidate will report to senior leadership and navigate organizational complexities to ensure effective recovery planning. This role is critical for shaping the organization's response to cyber threats within a multinational enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a ransomware recovery runbook within the first 3 months of engagement.
- Coordinate and align with cross-functional teams, including IT, InfoSec, Legal, Risk, and Business Continuity, to ensure the runbook is comprehensive and executable.
- Drive execution readiness, ensuring the organization is capable of enacting the recovery plan effectively.
- Identify and address gaps in current recovery capabilities, leveraging existing building blocks and enhancing where necessary.
- Facilitate workshops and simulations to validate the runbook and improve organizational preparedness.
- Report progress to senior leadership, including executive stakeholders up to President level.
- Navigate organizational complexity and politics with confidence and clarity to maintain momentum and focus.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or incident response, ideally in large, complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of ransomware threats, recovery strategies, and business continuity planning.
