Summary: As a Customer Solutions Design Specialist in the UK Secure Design practice, you will collaborate with defence customers and internal business units to create end-to-end Unified Communication and Collaboration technical designs. Your role involves translating customer requirements into deliverable solutions while ensuring compliance with security principles and industry best practices. You will also mentor other designers and drive improvements in design and delivery capabilities across various projects. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex solution issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture detailed customer technical requirements and translate them into solution designs.
- Manage and recommend technical direction for optimal solution design.
- Oversee review and validation processes for new developments and existing products.
- Drive improvements in design and delivery capabilities for technical solutions.
- Manage customer solution design engagement and statement of work creation.
- Facilitate strong customer relationships at senior levels.
- Ensure consistency in architecture and technical processes.
- Plan and implement customer migrations.
- Coordinate impact assessments and design documentation updates.
- Resolve complex solution and service issues, leading troubleshooting and escalation.
- Identify risks and implement controls and mitigations.
- Deliver thought leadership in complex bids and strategic approaches.
- Mentor other customer solution designers.
- Share knowledge on emerging trends in customer solution design.
Key Skills:
- Hold UKSV SC or Developed Vetting clearance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of on-premise and cloud unified communication technology architecture.
- Experience with telecommunication vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson).
- Hands-on experience in designing and configuring complex unified communication technologies.
- Professional training in Cisco technologies (CCNP Collaboration) and other relevant accreditations.
- Proven commercial awareness for CAPEX/OPEX costings.
- Experience in risk identification and problem-solving in complex solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex technologies to stakeholders with varying technical knowledge.
- Experience in sensitive HM Government environments.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
