Summary: In this role as a Customer Enquiries Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service by addressing requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations, while engaging with a diverse range of external customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations.
- Engage with external customers from public, commercial, and political sectors.
- Participate in incident response duties and provide business continuity support.
- Manage and prioritize reactive workloads effectively.
- Contribute to a diverse team handling public and political engagement, complaints, and executive correspondence.
- Utilize IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Outlook, to support customer service efforts.
- Maintain awareness of environmental matters and the responsibilities of the Environment Agency.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in writing, over the phone, and in person.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Positive and proactive attitude towards learning new IT processes.
- Experience in customer service or a related field.
- Familiarity with data protection laws and environmental regulations.
