Summary: In this role as a Customer Enquiries Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service by addressing requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations, while engaging with a diverse range of external customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations.
- Provide customer service to a diverse range of external customers from public, commercial, and political sectors.
- Participate in incident response duties and provide business continuity support during incidents.
- Manage and prioritize reactive workloads effectively.
- Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance customer service and IT skills.
- Work collaboratively within the Customer and Engagement team to coordinate information requests.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in writing, over the phone, and in person.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to learn new IT processes and systems confidently.
- Positive, proactive, and hard-working attitude.
- Awareness of the Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations, and data protection laws.
- Experience in a remote corporate environment and familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
