Summary: The Cost Centre Controller role involves managing and analyzing costs to ensure they are accurately captured and controlled within the organization. The position requires collaboration with cost centre managers to enhance productivity and reporting practices. The successful candidate will produce financial reports and support year-end processes while seeking improvements in financial operations. This role is suited for a part-qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the provision of consistent and accurate information regarding all functional costs.
- Accurately capture all costs in the correct cost centres and projects.
- Assist in the continual development and improvement of cost reporting to business managers.
- Produce monthly reports to functional directorates and senior managers by strict deadlines.
- Report on significant accruals at year-end and half-year-end, providing supporting evidence to auditors.
- Proactively seek process improvements for month-end processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Key Skills:
- Part-qualified or equivalent experience in a finance environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accountancy software.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Graduate calibre with a proactive 'can do' approach.
- Good commercial skills and adaptability to new environments.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Desirable project experience.
