Summary: The role of Contract IT Hardware Support Engineer (1st line) involves providing essential break/fix hardware support for various devices in an onsite capacity in Winchester, Hampshire. This position requires strong service desk skills and familiarity with endpoint management tools, with a focus on maintaining high customer service levels. The contract is for a duration of 3 months and falls under inside IR35 regulations. Candidates must be immediately available and able to work onsite five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide break/fix hardware support across a wide variety of devices, including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, printers, and telephony.
  • Work closely with internal teams and 3rd party vendors to resolve BAU hardware-related issues efficiently.
  • Utilize endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, ME MDM, Microsoft Entra, Datto RMM for device monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to ongoing problem management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring SLAs/KPIs are consistently met.
  • Organise and prioritise workload effectively, communicating updates clearly to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.

Contract IT Hardware Support Engineer (1st line) Location: Winchester, Hampshire - 5 days per week onsite Duration: 3 months IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Spectrum IT are collaborating with a client looking to hire a contract IT Hardware Support Engineer (1st line) to join their team on a short-term 3-month contract based in Winchester, Hampshire. This is an INSIDE IR35 role with engagement via Umbrella Company Only and requires you to be onsite 5 days per week. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong 1st line hardware BAU break/fix experience, excellent service desk skills, and a solid grasp of endpoint management tools.
