Summary: The Content & Editorial Specialist role involves contributing to a dynamic digital content team within a well-established organization. The position requires strong copywriting skills and previous experience in content and editorial work, with a focus on managing and publishing content across the company's digital portfolio. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Watford, offering hybrid working arrangements. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and effective content management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Publishing daily content via the content management system and assisting with general website management
  • Collaborating with Content Managers and stakeholders to prepare, publish, and occasionally write content
  • Supporting the team in stakeholder engagement and championing the content strategy across departments
  • Analysing content performance
  • Continuously enhancing the quality of content for an improved user experience
  • Managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and handling shifting priorities effectively
  • Overseeing the production and organisation of image galleries
  • Tracking and reporting on content performance metrics

Key Skills:

  • Proven understanding of SEO, tagging, and metadata
  • Experience or qualifications in journalism, media, or content-related fields
  • Strong team player with a proactive, collaborative and flexible approach
  • Proven experience in content management, planning, and working with content management systems
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards, web writing, and image management
  • Outstanding literacy skills, with no room for spelling or grammatical errors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Driver and available to start ASAP
