Summary: Cadillac Formula 1™ is seeking a Composite Designer to contribute to the design of composite components and tooling for their new team in the 2026 FIA Formula One™ World Championship. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the development of high-performance culture within the team. Candidates will be responsible for creating CAD models, ensuring design functionality, and mentoring Graduate Designers. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop layouts and schemes for composite assemblies, ensuring optimal design and functionality.
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings of composite components and tooling.
- Prepare comprehensive manufacturing information for composite production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure effective communication and implementation of design specifications.
- Provide guidance and supervision to Graduate Designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality work.
Key Skills:
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX.
- Knowledge of composite component design and materials.
- Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
