Community Safety Officer - Asb

Summary: The Community Safety Officer (ASB) role at North West Leicestershire District Council is focused on managing and reducing anti-social behaviour through coordinated multi-agency responses and effective case management. The position requires strong investigative skills and knowledge of relevant legislation, as well as the ability to prepare documentation for enforcement actions. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multi-agency responses to incidents of anti-social behaviour.
• Lead investigations and implement solutions, including enforcement where necessary.
• Support community safety strategies and initiatives in partnership with police and local services.
• Use Sentinel and other systems to record and manage ASB cases.
• Prepare reports and documentation for formal enforcement action and multi-agency panels.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in resolving ASB through investigation, negotiation, and enforcement.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant ASB legislation and court procedures.
• Current valid NPPV Level 1 Police Vetting (minimum requirement).
• Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
