Summary: The Community Safety Officer (ASB) role at North West Leicestershire District Council is focused on managing and reducing anti-social behaviour through coordinated multi-agency responses and effective case management. The position requires strong investigative skills and knowledge of relevant legislation, as well as the ability to prepare documentation for enforcement actions. This full-time, temporary role offers a competitive hourly rate and an immediate start. Candidates must hold current NPPV Level 1 Police Vetting or above.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multi-agency responses to incidents of anti-social behaviour.
- Lead investigations and implement solutions, including enforcement where necessary.
- Support community safety strategies and initiatives in partnership with police and local services.
- Use Sentinel and other systems to record and manage ASB cases.
- Prepare reports and documentation for formal enforcement action and multi-agency panels.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in resolving ASB through investigation, negotiation, and enforcement.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant ASB legislation and court procedures.
- Current valid NPPV Level 1 Police Vetting (minimum requirement).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
