Summary: The Community Safety Officer for ASB in North West Leicestershire is responsible for coordinating and responding to anti-social behaviour incidents within the district. This role involves case management, implementing local ASB initiatives, and providing expert advice on ASB legislation. The officer will also maintain records and reports related to ASB incidents and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The position requires effective resolution of ASB issues through investigation and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and coordinate anti-social behaviour (ASB) delivery for the district council and Safer North West Partnership.
- Manage day-to-day ASB incidents and investigate alleged breaches in legislation.
- Implement ASB initiatives and provide written reports and formal notices.
- Update records on Sentinel ASB case management system for enforcement action.
- Provide expert advice and guidance regarding ASB and maintain an overview of ASB crime and disorder in the district.
- Challenge own performance and participate in the council’s appraisal scheme.
- Ensure high standards of health and safety practice are maintained.
Key Skills:
- Experience in resolving anti-social behaviour issues through investigation and enforcement.
- Knowledge of ASB legislation and its application to reduce ASB.
- Understanding of the court process and ability to support and present evidence.
- Police Vetting NPPV level 1 or above.
