Comms Engineer

Summary: The Comms Engineer/AV Engineer role requires an individual with active SC clearance to manage AV systems and support large presentations in Portsmouth. The position involves ticket management, maintenance of AV equipment, and ensuring functionality in meeting rooms. The successful candidate will also be responsible for inventory management and conducting audits of AV assets. This role is essential for maintaining high standards in AV communications technology within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must hold SC Clearance and complete necessary clearance
• Must be a UK National
• Manage incoming tickets to meet contractual SLA targets
• Perform planned maintenance in all meeting rooms
• Provide room support for large AV presentations
• Conduct daily room checks to confirm functionality
• Perform on-site audits and maintain asset registers for AV equipment
• Manage internal AV stock of spares and maintain accurate inventory

Key Skills:

• SC Clearance is mandatory
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Google Meet and BlueJeans platforms
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good understanding of network and telephony infrastructure
• Must have a vehicle and be willing to travel to satellite locations in Stevenage and Newport
• Training will be provided
