Summary: The Commissioning Engineer will ensure the correct and safe installation of equipment and facilities at the client's site, conducting final alignment checks and providing reports for plant handover. Responsibilities include testing equipment, improving operational procedures, and supervising technical staff. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise in engineering disciplines. The position is outside IR35 and involves a six-day work week for two months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct and safe installation of equipment and facilities.
- Conduct physical final alignment checks of compressors and rotating equipment.
- Provide final alignment reports for plant handover.
- Test equipment on site and improve operational procedures.
- Create and implement test procedures.
- Investigate problems and diagnose/repair faults.
- Liaise with clients and installation/project engineers.
- Supervise engineering and technical staff.
- Gather and analyze performance and safety data.
- Write reports and documentation.
- Provide technical support and ensure safe working conditions.
- Train maintenance and operative staff.
