Summary: The Commercial Manager role at MBNL is a part-time position focused on enhancing the supplier management framework within the organization. This position is integral to supporting MBNL's strategic vision as it transitions into an Infrastructure Management Company. The role involves overseeing procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with commercial policies. The successful candidate will leverage their experience in contract negotiation and supplier management to drive performance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for all elements of the Commercial framework associated to the Supplier Base for which you manage.
• Ensure all commercial activity is governed by Commercial Policy and processes.
• Lead tender activities using established commercial processes.
• Draft, negotiate and award supplier contracts with support from MBNL Legal.
• Report issues and opportunities in a timely manner and manage risk appropriately.
• Ensure contractual governance / approval mechanisms are applied.
• Work with relevant business areas to track performance of suppliers.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to engage with supplier contacts, ensuring agreed performance and pricing are maintained.
• Influence key shareholder stakeholders and present recommendations to both shareholders.
• Actively support the commercial audit process.

Key Skills:

• Previous experience of negotiating complex framework contracts.
• Good understanding of contract law.
• Significant Supplier & Contract management experience.
• MCIPS, WCC or other relevant professional qualifications (nice to have).
• Experience of working in or with a Joint Venture organisation or in a similar multi-stakeholder environment (nice to have).
• Telecoms industry experience (nice to have).
