Summary: The role of Hybrid Cloud Product Owner at FDM involves defining, planning, and delivering cloud infrastructure products for a public sector client. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to prioritize features and guide the development team in implementing hybrid cloud solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong operational background in agile product delivery and technical expertise to ensure high-quality IT services. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension, based in Solihull.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into a product backlog.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality hybrid cloud solutions with the development team.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for hybrid cloud products.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices for competitive hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with hybrid cloud products.
- Maintain documentation related to product requirements, decisions, and releases.
- Oversee the lifecycle of the hybrid cloud estate, including planning, deployment, and retirement.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and requirements for hybrid cloud products.
- Manage software updates, patches, and upgrades for system integrity and performance.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hybrid cloud devices with the SACM Product team.
- Resolve complex technical incidents and problems effectively and timely.
- Refine support processes and workflows to improve response times and customer satisfaction.
- Manage O365 licensing for compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years in hybrid cloud engineering or related field, with 2 years in product management.
- In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Ability to design and manage hybrid cloud environments and integration architectures.
- Experience in managing hybrid cloud-related projects, including planning and execution.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Skills in managing data across hybrid environments, including migration and governance.
- Understanding of APIs and integration techniques for hybrid cloud setups.
- Knowledge of cost management and optimization strategies for hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficient in ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in an Agile environment.
