Summary: The Cloud Ops Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. This role involves leading a technical team, implementing automation strategies, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The engineer will also collaborate with various teams to facilitate seamless integration and deployment of services while maintaining thorough documentation of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and scaling of cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies for cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Lead a technical team of CloudOps engineers, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
  • Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure performance and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to industry security standards and compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams for seamless integration and deployment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud infrastructure processes and procedures.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting tools such as Terraform, Python, and Bash; desirable Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
