Summary: The Cloud Architect – Azure role involves designing, deploying, and optimizing Azure infrastructure while ensuring compliance with best practices. The position requires extensive knowledge of Azure frameworks and experience in cloud migration projects. The role is hybrid, requiring one day a week in London, and is outside IR35. The contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure best practices and frameworks (ESSENTIAL)
- Expert in Cloud Adoption Framework/Landing Zones (ESSENTIAL)
- Design, deploy, and optimise Azure infrastructure
- Collaborate with Architecture & Security teams to ensure compliance and best practices
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform & CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues efficiently
- Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in implementing and supporting Azure-based infrastructure solutions
- Azure design and deployment experience
- Extensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure best practices and frameworks (ESSENTIAL)
- Expert in Cloud Adoption Framework/Landing Zones (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience with cloud migration projects, specifically transitioning from on-premises to Azure environments
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure AD, Networking, Security)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform, ARM templates
- Experience in cloud migrations and automation
- Knowledge of networking technologies and security best practices
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
