Summary: The role of Civils Engineer involves a 4-month contract based in Birmingham, focusing on infrastructure projects in the West Midlands. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct setting-out using Total Station (TS16) and ensure accuracy in measurements.
- Manage QA documentation, including ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), Test Plans, and WIS (Work Inspection Sheets).
- Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support site compliance with HSQE standards, method statements, and rail safety protocols.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring work aligns with design specifications.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in civil engineering setting-out (rail/civils background preferred).
- Proficiency with Total Stations (TS16) and surveying equipment.
- PTS essential.
- Strong understanding of QA processes (ITPs, WIS, and test documentation).
- Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with teams and clients effectively.
