Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct setting-out using Total Station (TS16) and ensure accuracy in measurements.
  • Manage QA documentation, including ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), Test Plans, and WIS (Work Inspection Sheets).
  • Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Support site compliance with HSQE standards, method statements, and rail safety protocols.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring work aligns with design specifications.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in civil engineering setting-out (rail/civils background preferred).
  • Proficiency with Total Stations (TS16) and surveying equipment.
  • PTS essential.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes (ITPs, WIS, and test documentation).
  • Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with teams and clients effectively.

We are seeking a proactive Civils Engineer with strong setting-out experience to join a dynamic team working on infrastructure projects across the West Midlands. You’ll play a key role in ensuring precision and compliance across site operations, with a focus on rail/civil engineering environments.
