Summary: The Children's Social Work Team Manager will oversee the Duty Academy Team in Wigan, focusing on managing newly qualified Social Workers to provide essential support to children in need. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Duty Academy Team, providing support and guidance to newly qualified Social Workers.
• Ensure the team effectively completes assessments and works with children in need of support.
• Maintain a centre of excellence using the Family Safeguarding model of practice.
• Collaborate with the existing Duty Teams to handle a variety of case complexities.
• Hold short-term Child in Need cases and undertake intensive work to prevent escalation.
