Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Finance function in preparing financial year-end statements and audits.
- Report to the Head of Finance.
- Produce statements of accounts and support through to year-end and audit.
- Conduct Funding Analysis, Movement on Reserves (MER), and manage Pensions (Funded & Un-funded).
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Strong technical skill set.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience leading Finance teams in similar roles.
- Extensive experience in producing statements of accounts.
- Public sector background (Council/Local Gov/Police/Fire & Rescue preferred).

Your new role
As an experienced Senior Accountant, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance and leading/supporting the Finance function with financial year-end statement of accounts and audit.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with a strong technical skill set and excellent communication skills.
You will have led Finance teams in similar roles and have extensive experience of producing statement of accounts and supporting through to year-end and audit.
You will have a good understanding of Funding Analysis, Movement on Reserves (MER) and Pensions (Funded & Un-funded).
Public sector background is essential - Council/Local Gov/Police/Fire & Rescue preferred.
