Cad/Revit Technician

Summary: The Cad/Revit Technician will collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and deliver technical information that meets client requirements and deadlines. The role involves using Autodesk software to draft electrical schematics, produce 3D models, and assist in the design of lighting services. The successful candidate will work full-time at the Oldham office, with some travel to sites as needed. Supervision will be provided by a senior engineer and director, with a focus on electrical/building services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver technical information to meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Attend design team meetings to determine project scope and RIBA stage.
• Produce information delivery plans.
• Draft electrical schematics and 2D plans using Autodesk Autocad.
• Produce electrical 3D models and coordinate with other services using Autodesk Revit.
• Create 2D plans from 3D models.
• Create bespoke Revit families.
• Produce technical submissions for manufacturers and equipment.
• Assist with the design of lighting services and cable calculations.
• Produce bills of quantities from 2D plans/3D models for quoting.
• Incorporate design elements into O&M manuals.
• Deliver BIM and COBie data.
• Occasional travel to site for surveys and marking up as installed drawings.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Autocad and Revit.
• Experience in drafting electrical schematics and 3D modeling.
• Understanding of lighting services and cable calculations.
• Ability to produce technical submissions and bills of quantities.
• Knowledge of BIM and COBie data delivery.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
