Summary: The Buyer role at Rullion involves acting as a procurement partner for EPC High Voltage Substation projects, managing purchase volumes of £2-3M per project. The position requires ensuring effective procurement processes during project phases, preparing and managing requests for quotations, and developing sourcing strategies. The role also includes risk management related to suppliers and maintaining high standards across the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as procurement partner on EPC High Voltage Substation projects with purchase volume £2-3M per project.
• Ensure procurement processes are understood and implemented effectively during bid and execution phases.
• Prepare, action, and manage requests for quotation including negotiation of pricing and commercial terms.
• Define sourcing and supplier strategy for assigned commodities within SUB&FACTS procurement set-up.
• Update commodity dossier annually and align with HQ commodity expert or manager.
• Complete supplier evaluations by defined deadlines and develop short and long-term strategies.
• Proactively identify and manage risks related to suppliers on projects.
• Ensure sufficient contract coverage is in place based on scope, value, and risk.
• Assist in completion of function and project tasks on-time and to a high quality.
• Foster a high-performance culture by participating in improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards across the procurement function through adherence to processes and tool usage.
• Raise purchase orders within SAP in line with company guidelines.
