Summary: This role is for a Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Analyst/Manager within a leading financial services firm, focusing on enhancing business continuity frameworks and ensuring compliance in regulated environments. The position requires immediate engagement in crisis management, risk assessments, and stakeholder collaboration. The contract duration is between 3 to 6 months, emphasizing the need for a professional who can deliver results from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support incident response and recovery activities to manage crisis events and meet compliance requirements.
- Implement, maintain, and document Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across the organization.
- Provide back-up support to other regional leads as required.
- Collaborate with Business Development for pitches, tenders, bids, and Client RFI requests.
- Develop and implement the firm's operational resilience framework in line with industry best practices.
- Identify important business services and map their supporting processes, systems, and dependencies.
- Set and review impact tolerances for important business services.
- Participate in scenario testing and simulation exercises.
- Coordinate operational resilience risk assessments focusing on vulnerabilities and third-party risks.
- Work with business units to develop and maintain response and recovery plans for critical services.
- Monitor and report operational resilience risks and escalate to senior management as needed.
- Engage with regulated sector clients to understand operational resilience requirements.
- Continuously improve practices by incorporating lessons learned from incidents and client feedback.
- Develop and implement innovative resilience solutions and capabilities.
- Manage stakeholders at all levels and deliver training on operational resilience principles.
- Maintain documentation for client due diligence and audit requests.
- Comply with Workplace Health & Safety obligations and support team members.

Key Skills:
- Proven Business Continuity/Operational Resilience experience at an enterprise/divisional level.
- Expertise in implementing BIAs and BCPs organization-wide using project management methodologies.
- Experience as a Business Continuity Analyst/Manager, preferably with ServiceNow BC module.
- Knowledge of Power BI for developing dashboards and reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to interact at Partner/C-suite level.

Overview: A key contract opportunity for an experienced Business Continuity & Operational Resilience professional to join a leading financial services firm. This specialist will proactively implement and improve business continuity and operational resilience frameworks, support compliance and client requirements, and drive stakeholder engagement. The role focuses on regulated environments (banks, insurance, etc.), with responsibilities across Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), scenario testing, risk assessments, and client interactions. Immediate start and ability to deliver from day one is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Support incident response and recovery activities to enable the firm to manage crisis events and meet compliance requirements.
- Proactively implement, maintain, and document Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across the organisation using program/project management best practices.
- Back-up support to other regional leads as required.
- Collaborate with Business Development, providing credentials, documentation, and process improvements for pitches, tenders, bids, and Client RFI requests.
- Develop and implement the firm's operational resilience framework in line with industry best practices and regulated client expectations (insurance/banking – Bank of England / PRA).

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven Business Continuity/Operational Resilience experience at an enterprise/divisional level, ideally as an SME or trusted adviser on the business side (risk, operations, third-party risk).
- Demonstrated expertise implementing BIAs and BCPs organiSation-wide, using program/project management methodologies.
- Experience as a Business Continuity Analyst/Manager, preferably with ServiceNow BC module and business requirements elicitation.
- Knowledge of Power BI for developing online dashboards and reporting.
- Commercial acumen, strong communication, confidence, and stakeholder engagement skills – able to interact at Partner/C-suite level.
- Experience in regulated financial services environments (banks, insurance), familiar with Bank of England/PRA requirements.
- Able to work independently and deliver immediate value in a short-term, fast-paced contract environment (3–6 months).
