Summary: The Business Analyst (Smart Meters) role is based in Belfast and involves planning and implementing training, updating web content, and mapping changes to core business processes within the energy sector. The position requires collaboration with various business areas to clarify requirements and assess business risks. This is a full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working pattern. The role is integral to supporting business-critical changes in the gas and electricity industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business to clarify requirements, plan implementation, and answer queries during the development process.
  • Identify, determine, and document end-to-end business processes.
  • Attend external workshops and present updates back to the business, hosting internal workshops for feedback.
  • Carry out in-depth scoping exercises to identify key issues and ascertain clear direction.
  • Identify and assess business risk.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role supporting business-critical changes.
  • Hands-on experience organizing and running workshops.
  • Clear understanding of the gas and electricity industry, metering standards, regulations, and UX/CX.
  • Experience providing business updates to multiple business areas.
  • Background in creating business process documentation and process redesign.

Base Location: Dublin or Belfast (Hybrid working pattern)

Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 (ROI) or £36,000 - £42,000 (NI) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Our Business Analyst will work with the business to plan and roll out training, create scripts, update web content, map out changes to core business processes and help translate regulation into business process. Please note that we cannot provide sponsorship or fully remote working for this role***

You will

  • Work with business to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process
  • Identify, determine and document end-to-end business processes
  • Attend external workshops and present updates back to the business, and host internal workshops to get feedback to present back to the industry
  • Carry out in depth scoping exercises during the early stages of a work package, to identify key issues of concern and ascertain clear direction
  • Identify and assess business risk

You have

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, supporting business critical changes
  • Hands on experience organising and running workshops
  • A clear understanding of the gas and electricity industry, metering standards, regulations and UX/CX
  • Experience providing business updates to multiple business areas
  • A background in creating business process documentation and process redesign
