Summary: The Technology Delivery Business Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering digital and technology solutions that provide significant business value. This position involves close collaboration with project managers, architects, and product owners to translate business needs into actionable requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and stakeholder engagement abilities to guide projects from initiation to successful implementation. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract with a pro-rata salary of £40,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, define, and validate functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into user stories and clear documentation.
  • Analyse business processes and data flows to identify improvement opportunities and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Engineering to align business needs with technical feasibility.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions to define project scope and design.
  • Develop and execute test plans and acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with user expectations.
  • Produce structured documentation including business process models, system requirements, and change request logs.
  • Contribute to evaluating potential technology solutions and assist in developing business cases and procurement strategies.
  • Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches, refining backlogs and helping prioritise work.
  • Create and deliver training materials for new processes as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in business analysis with a strong ability to translate business requirements into user stories, specifications, and test scenarios.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with experience facilitating workshops and managing expectations across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in business process modelling using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience evaluating technology solutions, writing business cases, and contributing to procurement activities.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, integration platforms (iPaaS), and digital transformation tools (desirable).
  • Experience supporting functional and non-functional testing, including user acceptance testing.
  • Awareness of data protection and compliance considerations in technology delivery.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and PRINCE2 frameworks, with relevant certifications seen as advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
