Summary: The Business Analyst role in Glasgow involves managing end-to-end requirements and ensuring traceability for both functional and non-functional aspects. The position requires in-depth analysis of payment data, stakeholder management, and coordination of multiple project activities to support change initiatives within the bank. The analyst will also be responsible for creating and maintaining project backlogs and ensuring adherence to governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end requirements management and traceability, both functional and non-functional.
- Analysis of Payment data for data model and detailed analysis.
- Requirements elicitation and documentation, using User Stories and E2E Diagrams.
- Identification & verification of source data origination and assessing overlapping & distinct data elements.
- Identify, quantify, plan and control all business design and analysis related activity on change projects.
- Become knowledgeable in data sources and expected outputs in specific data domains, e.g., payments.
- Support programme & project leads towards achieving the goals of the initiatives.
- Performance manage data analysts and direct and lead on department strategy.
- Co-ordinate workloads across multiple data streams.
- Identify and align commercials associated with change in the bank.
- Own and manage requirement related aspects of the change delivery life cycle from inception to post implementation support.
- Work in-line with overall strategy across Technology delivery and Business operations change.
- Identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders.
- Manage multiple work streams of project activity.
- Conduct impact analysis, both business and technical, working closely with architects and solution designers.
- Coordinate and assist with different testing phases including User Acceptance Testing and Live proving.
- Act as a liaison among project stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate features for new functionality.
- Serve as the SME for business and functional domain knowledge, working closely with the Product Owner.
- Create, groom and maintain the project feature and story backlog.
- Participate in joint design sessions to groom and document features and stories.
- Create clear and straightforward feature and story backlogs.
- Manage end-to-end requirement & requirement delivery quality of high complexity.
- Support broad conceptual technical solutions, working closely with the Enterprise, Data and Solutions Architects.
- Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution.
- Manage dependencies and raise awareness to Programme & Project Managers of dependencies outside of area of responsibility.
- Deliver intended outcomes and adapt to changing requirements & priorities.
- Adhere to Group Change control and governance standards, recording and reporting data appropriately.
