Summary: The Experience Designer role is a six-month contract position within a leading global financial services organization, focusing on UX/UI design. The designer will lead the design process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-centered digital experiences. This position requires a strong portfolio and expertise in design tools, with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept through to high-fidelity UI and interaction design.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, analysts, and content strategists.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, journey maps and design specifications, covering all edge cases and states.
  • Apply user-centred design methods, using data, research and feedback to inform and iterate on solutions.
  • Contribute to the growth and maintenance of a design system.
  • Promote consistent, accessible, and user-first design principles throughout all work.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in UX/UI or product design roles.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, considered design work on complex digital products.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma; additional tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or Axure also valued.
  • Deep understanding of usability principles, responsive design and interaction best practices.
  • Experience working in agile environments and with remote, cross-regional teams.
  • An interest in emerging design tools, including those powered by AI, is welcome.
  • Background in financial services or other regulated industries is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present and explain design rationale confidently.

Experience Designer – 6 Month Contract

I am working with a leading global organisation in the financial services sector that is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join their digital design team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to shape impactful digital experiences across a wide range of platforms and products.

What you will do:
