Summary: The Business Analyst role in Doncaster is a six-month fixed-term contract focused on leading the analysis of IT projects within the rail transportation sector. The position involves converting high-level business requirements into user stories and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs. The successful candidate will engage with teams throughout the project lifecycle to drive project success. This role requires a strong background in business analysis, particularly in software projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
- Convert high-level business needs into user stories, workflows, and use cases.
- Manage the requirements backlog and collaborate with teams to prioritize and refine stories.
- Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the required business outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, create mock-ups, and produce clear, structured documentation.
Key Skills:
- Proven Track Record working as a Business Analyst, ideally on software projects.
- Extensive Experience in Process Improvement, Automation, and Optimization.
- Proficient in Visio, MS Office, and Agile Methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ideally, previously worked within Rail Transportation (Desirable, not essential).
