Summary: The Automation Engineer role in Surrey, UK, involves supporting a major Aramco project during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase. The position requires designing advanced control systems while ensuring compliance with Aramco standards and collaborating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop control system specifications ensuring compliance with Aramco and industry standards.
• Design control system deliverables, including P&IDs and Instrument Lists.
• Collaborate with clients & vendors to define system requirements and package interfaces.
• Conduct risk assessments (SIL, LOPA, HAZOP) and prepare ICSS technical requisitions.
• Assist in creating Process Control Narratives and Cause & Effect diagrams.
• Work with electrical teams and MCC to determine I/O requirements.
• Support multi-center project execution and brownfield onshore projects.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in Automation Engineering —preferably on Aramco projects.
• Strong understanding of control system design & FEED phase execution.
• Expertise in IEC 61508 & IEC 61511 standards.
• Hands-on experience with SIL, LOPA, and HAZOP assessments.
• Ability to develop technical specifications, bid evaluations, and ICSS requisitions.
• Brownfield onshore project experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working in multi-discipline, multi-center project environments.
