Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking building condition surveys, defect investigations, and feasibility assessments
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
- Managing procurement and appointing consultants and contractors
- Acting as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent
- Monitoring site progress, quality, and health & safety compliance
- Providing technical advice on building pathology, repairs, maintenance, and statutory compliance
- Managing budgets, cost reporting, and value-engineering opportunities
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams
- Controlling change, managing risk, and maintaining quality standards
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and external partners
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard
Key Skills:
- A degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- MRICS / MCIOB status (or working towards) is advantageous
- Solid experience in UK residential building surveying
- Strong technical knowledge across construction, refurbishment, and maintenance
