Summary: The Building Control Interim Lead role is a temporary position focused on managing and transforming the Building Control service in Thrapston, Northamptonshire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Building Control service, including surveying, technical, and business support teams.
  • Provide professional advice on Building Control and safety matters.
  • Ensure statutory compliance across all Building Control operations.
  • Implement the Building Safety Levy.
  • Maintain service quality assurance standards.
  • Develop strategies to market and promote the service.
  • Support strategic delivery and service transformation.
  • Drive improvement in service efficiency and customer experience.
  • Manage budgets, performance, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee contracts, consultants, and partnerships.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Evaluate risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are met.
  • Manage business continuity and emergency planning.

Job Title: Building Control Interim Lead

Location: Thrapston, Northamptonshire (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite)

Duration: 3 months initially

Hours: 37 hours/week, 9am – 5pm

Rate: £50 PAYE / £66.65 Umbrella per hour (IR35: Inside)
