Summary: The Build and Deployment Engineer role is a fully onsite position in London, focused on managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment orchestration for an international banking client. The engineer will support critical systems, maintain platform stability, and drive architectural improvements while adhering to governance frameworks. This position requires technical expertise in various tools and a proactive approach to managing build and deployment projects. Candidates should have a strong background in build/system integration and release management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Build and Deployment Requests/Incidents, ensuring alignment with strategy.
  • Maintaining stability of the Build and Deployment platform toolsets.
  • Supporting architectural improvements and rolling out new technologies/tools for the team.
  • Implementing policies and procedures aligned with Service Transition team objectives.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure feedback is incorporated into policies and initiatives.
  • Leading Build and Deployment projects assigned by management.
  • Providing technical assistance for onboarding new technologies onto the platform.
  • Acting as the main Point of Contact in the absence of the Head of Build and Deployment team.
  • Representing the team in CAB meetings and submitting audit evidence when required.
  • Identify and manage risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in build/system integration tooling (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory) and methodologies.
  • Expertise in secure version-controlled source code repositories (e.g., GitHub/Subversion).
  • Strong background in release preparation/delivery management.
  • A track record of delivering programs/projects that enhance IT service delivery.
  • Experience working with vendors/third-party suppliers.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow workflows and CI/CD best practices.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks helpful.
