Summary: The Bank Registered Nurse role at NBTeXtra offers experienced nurses the opportunity for flexible working patterns while supporting clinical areas within one of the South West's largest hospitals. Nurses will be responsible for patient care, adhering to Trust policies, and supervising junior staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Support all clinical areas of the Trust as required.
- Ensure adherence to Trust and local policies and procedures.
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Supervise and guide other staff, including healthcare support workers and students.
- Report significant changes in a patient’s condition to the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to health promotion and provide education, support, and advice to patients.
- Ensure safe ordering, administration, and custody of patients’ medication.
- Assist in coordinating discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
Key Skills:
- Registered Nurse with current live NMC Registration.
- Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience (15 months for NQNs).
- Recent acute hospital experience within the last 18-24 months.
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer/IT skills.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Teaching and assessing qualification (desirable).
