Backup and Storage Administrator

Summary: The Backup and Storage Administrator role involves designing, implementing, and managing various storage technologies, including NetBackup, Rubrik, and IBM Flash storage solutions. The position requires collaboration with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and the development of documentation for storage infrastructures. Additionally, the role includes managing migration projects and providing technical support for Brocade network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage NetBackup and Rubrik technologies.
• Design and manage IBM Flash storage solutions, including the FlashSystem family.
• Develop and maintain documentation for 3PAR storage and HPE MSA infrastructure.
• Scope and manage new migration projects aligned with team skills and customer requirements.
• Implement and maintain data replication and disaster recovery solutions using IBM & 3PAR features.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration of storage solutions with servers, networks, and applications.
• Stay updated with Brocade technologies and evaluate their benefits for the environment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Brocade network issues.
• Configure and manage Brocade switches, including VLANs and security features.

Key Skills:

• Experience with NetBackup and Rubrik technologies.
• Knowledge of IBM Flash storage solutions and the FlashSystem family.
• Familiarity with HPE 3PAR storage, HPE Nimble, and HPE MSA.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Experience in managing migration projects.
• Knowledge of data replication and disaster recovery solutions.
• Technical support experience for Brocade network issues.
• Skills in configuring and managing Brocade switches.
