Summary: The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will support a prestigious client in a secure environment, focusing on the design, innovation, and transformation of remote desktop services and cloud solutions. This role requires a problem-solving mindset and the ability to mentor team members while conducting security clearance prior to assignment. The position is contract-based and offers opportunities in London, Cheltenham, or Manchester. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Azure Virtual Desktop and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate organisational needs and pioneer the development of technical solutions.
• Identify and assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient device management across the department.
• Review existing content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with Windows best practices.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience of VDI solutions, preferably Azure Virtual Desktop with Nerdio tooling and/or Citrix.
• Strong experience of Azure cloud, particularly Entra, Networking, Azure Firewall, DNS.
• Knowledge and experience of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps.
• Experience in deployment of cloud infrastructure through IaC, preferably terraform.
• Strong scripting knowledge and experience, especially PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Intune MDM, particularly configuration profiles.
• Experience with RSAT tooling, particularly Active Directory and GPO.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
