Summary: We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS deployments and IAM to support a financial services client. The role involves designing and managing CI/CD pipelines while ensuring compliance and security in a regulated environment. The candidate will collaborate with various teams to implement automated deployment solutions and maintain governance over access controls. This position requires a strong focus on best practices and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments across Azure and AWS environments.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and permissions to ensure secure access and compliance with financial services standards.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver secure and automated deployment solutions.
- Ensure all deployments are highly available, resilient, and compliant with regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO27001, SOC2).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the build and release process.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud services and applications.
- Champion DevOps best practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define and enforce least-privilege access models and secure onboarding processes.
- Support audits and compliance reporting by maintaining proper documentation and access records.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role within a financial services or regulated environment.
- Strong expertise in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including: IAM (users, roles, policies, permissions) EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS (deployment and scaling) CloudFormation or Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Deep knowledge of IAM best practices, access governance, and compliance standards.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes / container orchestration.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent).
- Understanding of networking, security, and encryption in a cloud context.
- Experience working in regulated industries with a focus on compliance, security, and governance.

This is an Inside IR35 contract role working via umbrella company and will require 2 days per week onsite in Manchester with the customer.
