Summary: The Auditor Level 3 role is a contract position based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement, focusing on SOX testing and internal audit processes. The successful candidate will support the Group Manager by leading reviews, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective control testing. This position requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to mentor junior team members while identifying opportunities for process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Group Manager in executing the SOX testing program by taking ownership of assigned reviews.
- Coordinate closely with Business Partners and external auditors.
- Conduct control narrative refreshes.
- Lead Process walkthroughs with Business Partners.
- Test the design and operational effectiveness of key controls.
- Produce high-quality work papers documenting testing performed, results, and conclusions.
- Take a leading role on special projects and ad-hoc activities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members and the wider team.
- Identify opportunities to leverage information technology systems and automation.
- Evaluate potential financial impact of control deficiencies and coordinate remediation plans.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels and departments.
- Serve as a trusted liaison for control owners and internal/external auditors.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SOX testing, Internal Audit, Public Accounting Audit, or a combination of private and public accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is preferred.

Essential skills:
* Bachelor's Degree is required.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in SOX testing, Internal Audit, Public Accounting Audit or a combination of private and public accounting (preferred but not required).
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is preferred.
