Summary: The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support various bus and public transport projects aimed at improving services in the region. This role involves planning, delivery, and reporting on initiatives while collaborating with local partners and managing stakeholder relationships. The position is a one-year fixed-term contract, emphasizing effective communication and project management skills in the transport and infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the planning, delivery, and reporting of bus service improvement projects.
- Work with local delivery partners to develop and assure a programme of schemes.
- Assess and manage changes within the programme in partnership with the Programme Manager.
- Communicate effectively with senior managers, stakeholders, and governance boards.
- Summarise complex technical information for decision makers.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote best practices and the interests of the Mayoral Combined Authority.
Key Skills:
- Experience in managing transport and/or infrastructure projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
