Summary: The Assistant HR Business Partner role is a dynamic position focused on supporting a strategic workforce plan for the UK rail sector. The successful candidate will coordinate HR and OD research, facilitate workshops, and develop workforce staffing plans while working in a hybrid environment between London and Birmingham. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in significant national projects over the next five years. The role requires a self-starter with notable HR experience in complex environments and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate HR and OD research and analysis.
- Design and develop new organization structure, job roles, and Terms & Conditions.
- Conduct HR and OD research on leadership, talent management, and best practices.
- Develop long-term training and development strategies.
- Perform benchmarking and analysis to support initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops with subject matter experts.
- Develop and implement terms and conditions and working practices.
- Focus on EVP, leadership engagement, and talent management.
- Gather, interpret, and present HR/OD data.
Key Skills:
- Notable HR experience within complex, unionised environments.
- Experience working within a project environment.
- Minimum CIPD Level 3 or working towards Level 5/7.
- Strong Microsoft Skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Self-starter with initiative to drive project deliverables.
