Summary: The Assistant HR Business Partner role involves supporting a significant national project aimed at enhancing the future of UK rail through strategic workforce planning. The position requires a dynamic individual with HR and OD experience to coordinate research, analysis, and the development of organizational structures. This hybrid role necessitates regular travel between London and Birmingham, focusing on various HR initiatives and stakeholder engagement. The contract is fixed-term for 12 months, starting in May 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate HR and OD research and analysis.
- Design and develop new organizational structures, job roles, and terms & conditions.
- Conduct HR and OD research on leadership, talent management, and best practices.
- Develop long-term training and development strategies.
- Perform benchmarking and analysis to support initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops with subject matter experts.
- Develop and implement terms and conditions and working practices.
- Focus on employee value proposition, leadership engagement, and talent management.
- Gather, interpret, and present HR/OD data.
Key Skills:
- Notable HR experience within complex, unionised environments.
- Experience working with Employee/Industrial Relations specialists.
- Experience in project environments.
- Minimum CIPD Level 3 or working towards Level 5/7.
- Strong Microsoft skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Self-starter with initiative to drive project deliverables.
