Summary: The Assistant Accountant role at a global record company focuses on supporting Accounts Payable, Receivables, and Treasury functions within the Finance Operations team. Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process the 3 x weekly BACS runs for the UK business
• Review and process the daily CHAPS runs for the UK business
• Make critical payments
• Ensure local bank balances reconcile to system totals
• Follow up on all returned payments, recalls or traces with suppliers and local bank
• Action any payment queries received from the local bank
• Process all new supplier account bank verification checks
• Assist Label Finance with AP payment issue resolution
• Ensure all bank items are accurately posted daily
• Ensure accurate filing of all payment documents
• Review new customer applications and route for credit limit approval
• Investigate and resolve unknown cash receipts
