Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Complete academic elements of the apprenticeship program as specified by LTHT, HEI, and Institute of Apprenticeship standards.
  • Maintain an apprentice portfolio demonstrating learning and skills, and complete an end-point assessment.
  • Achieve Operating Department Practitioner competencies related to HCPC standards.
  • Work as part of a designated clinical care team focused on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with a mentor to develop competence during placements and academic studies.
  • Adhere to LTHT policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a dynamic attitude towards work and studies.
