Summary: The role of Interim Accountant involves supporting the Head of Finance in a fast-growing start-up within the Project Management sector. The position requires hands-on involvement in end-to-end accounting processes, financial administration, and reporting, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement. The contract is initially for 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension into 2026. The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements during a significant growth phase for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Finance across financial and management accounting tasks.
- Manage invoice processing and general ledger reconciliation.
- Assist with financial administration and month-end duties.
- Lead transaction management to month-end reporting.
- Support statutory accounting and external reporting.
- Prepare financial reports with analysis.
- Get involved in supporting bids and tenders.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a hands-on finance role covering end-to-end accounts processing.
- Ability to manage financial and management accounting tasks.
- Experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
- Part or Qualified by experience candidates are considered.
- Ability to work at pace and improve processes.
