Summary: This role offers an exciting opportunity for two undergraduate students to engage in a performance analysis work placement at the Nottingham Forest academy for the 2025/26 season. The position involves supporting the analysis and coaching staff, focusing on the development of professional skills through practical experience in a fast-paced environment. Key tasks include processing content, capturing footage, and producing statistical insights to aid in the academy's analysis program. The placement is designed to enhance the students' knowledge and skills while contributing to the academy's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & produce content based on the needs of the club.
- Support the full-time analysis staff in the delivery of the U9 – U14 analysis programme.
- Support and aid in the delivery of the coach development programme.
- Capture footage of academy games & training.
- Ensure matches are clipped accurately.
- Support the collation of movie organisers for key players.
- Support content management on club storage systems.
- Clip matches & training accurately & effectively.
- Collate movie organisers and database for opposition teams and individuals.
- Create high-quality videos and presentations.
- Aid in producing statistical insights from academy fixtures and training sessions.
- Communicate with coaching staff and players.
- Build and maintain a library of best practices from games and training.
- Produce coach development dashboards as part of the coaching CPD programme.
Key Skills:
- Studying for a BSc in a relevant field or equivalent with a mandatory year-long placement.
- Proficient in Excel, Keynote, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of key analysis software.
- Analysis/football background.
- Appreciation of data and the ability to collect, deliver, and implement it.
- Ability to deliver high standards while working towards deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to see work through to conclusion.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Full UK driving license.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
