Summary: The Youth Strength Coach is tasked with coaching children aged 9-15 in after school strength clubs located in Twickenham and Richmond. This role requires expertise in fitness and movement training for youths, along with the ability to engage and inspire young individuals to build confidence through strength training. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach age appropriate Training Programs.
  • Create and implement strength training routines suitable for age groups within the 9-15 age range.
  • Ensure the programs are engaging, safe, and tailored to individual levels and abilities.
  • Educate students on the importance of strength training when required.
  • Supervise groups and individuals behaviours and participation.
  • Instruct and demonstrate techniques and use of equipment when required which is age appropriate.
  • Closely supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
  • Ensure registers are taken and sign out procedures adhered to.
  • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assess and monitor the progress of each student when needed.
  • Provide any feedback and modify session programmes as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, clean, and properly maintained.
  • Recommend purchases or upgrades when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with other external and internal staff members to provide a well-rounded and excellent strength curriculum for all.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment.
  • Address and manage any behavioural issues in a constructive manner and ensure all procedures are followed at all times.
