Summary: The Young Person's Resilience Worker at Change Grow Live plays a crucial role in supporting young individuals aged 10-18 in Stockton-on-Tees, focusing on substance use issues. This position involves delivering interventions, managing a caseload, and collaborating with various agencies to promote resilience and healthier lifestyles among young people. The role emphasizes strong engagement skills and a commitment to safeguarding while working within a multi-disciplinary team. The position is fixed-term until March 2026, with full-time hours of 37.5 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people from entry into the service through their treatment and recovery journey.
- Provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, and integrated care planning.
- Identify and respond to potential safeguarding issues effectively.
- Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to young people and the community.
- Promote involvement of carers, service users, and the community.
- Advocate for access to partnership services.
- Work with young people to achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Engage directly with children and young people in the community.
- Manage a caseload and deliver group interventions and community events.
Key Skills:
- Experience working with young people and understanding their challenges.
- Knowledge of safeguarding concerns and the Fraser Competence framework.
- Understanding of drug and alcohol issues and related best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with IT competency.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
