Summary: The Young Person's Resilience Worker at Change Grow Live is responsible for supporting young individuals aged 10-18 in Nottingham, focusing on substance use issues. This role involves direct engagement with the community, delivering interventions, and collaborating with various agencies to promote resilience and healthier lifestyles. The position is full-time, with a 12-month fixed-term contract, and emphasizes a compassionate approach to empower young people in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people from entry into the service through their treatment and recovery journey.
- Conduct screening, assessment, and psychosocial interventions.
- Manage a caseload and provide care planning and post-treatment support.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding issues effectively.
- Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to young people and the community.
- Promote involvement of carers, service users, and the community.
- Advocate for access to partnership services.
- Facilitate educational workshops and attend safeguarding meetings.
- Work flexibly across various sites as required.
Key Skills:
- Experience working with young people and understanding their challenges.
- Knowledge of safeguarding concerns and the Fraser Competence framework.
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues and related best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of personal IT competency.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
- Strong team working and interpersonal skills.
