Summary: The Workspace Patch Engineer is responsible for building, testing, and maintaining images while managing the SCCM platform and end-user computing services such as InTune, Autopilot, and Jamf. The role involves patch management, incident resolution, and collaboration with the Infosec team to address vulnerabilities. Additionally, the engineer will document processes and manage hardware requests to ensure compliance and efficiency. Strong communication and technical skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and maintain images for SCCM, InTune, Autopilot, and Jamf.
- Administer and maintain end-user computing management services.
- Document and maintain onsite processes and procedures.
- Configure and service Autopilot.
- Test Windows 11 builds and Mac OS updates.
- Assist in the transition to BAU support.
- Manage image driver updates and patch management for end-user devices.
- Deploy Intune Autopilot.
- Collaborate with the Infosec team to manage workspace vulnerabilities.
- Resolve incidents related to desktop management services.
- Document and track problem resolution, ensuring timely communication with users.
- Liaise with team members to resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary.
- Process new hardware requests and ensure correct image/application installation.
- Work with Infosec teams on vulnerability management and patch updates.
- Participate in project work as required.

Workspace Patch Engineer - SCCM / InTune / JAMF / Autopilot
Role purpose: Responsible for building, testing and maintaining images alongside the upgrade and continued maintenance of the SCCM platform currently in place. Administration and maintenance of the client’s end user computing management service (InTune/Autopilot/Jamf). To build and maintain onsite documentation/processes and procedures. Autopilot configuration, administration and servicing Testing of Windows 11 builds and Mac OS Build updates to the build image(s) Assist transition in to BAU support Image driver updates Patch Management of end user devices Intune Autopilot deployment Working with Infosec team to management Workspace vulnerabilities Manage and resolve incidents associated with the desktop management service including support of OS images, packaged applications, non-packaged application installations, anti-virus issues and alerts. Document, track and monitor problem resolution ensuring timely resolution and clear communications with user throughout incident/service request life cycle. Liaise with other team members/managers to resolve more complex problems, escalating where necessary. Process new hardware requests, placing orders for new desktops and laptops via Service Track tool and ensuring that correct image/applications are installed on the devices and that all asset management tasks are completed. Patch management/ Vulnerability management – working with the Infosec teams, keeping the workspace estate up to date with Patches and free of vulnerabilities. Working to SLA’s. Lead/Participate as required with project work, subject to agreement from the Workspace Manager.
