Summary: The Workshop Manager for Automotive Fleet Operations will oversee the fleetworkshop facility, ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing daily workloads, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The manager will also be responsible for procurement, warranty claims, and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fleetworkshop facility, maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
  • Plan daily workloads for technicians to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee workshop operations, ensuring business targets are met and mentoring associates.
  • Safeguard work quality and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Procure workshop equipment, materials, supplies, and parts.
  • Ensure timely submission of warranty claims and invoicing of completed job cards.
  • Conduct regular quality meetings to drive smooth workshop operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Act as a liaison between workshop and ML-V functions to minimize warranty costs.
  • Support regional staff, customer relations, and dealership partners for vehicle repairs.
  • Further develop DMS (Dealer Management System) for workshop reporting and analysis.
  • Plan and execute vehicle upgrade processes in collaboration with plant and sales teams.
  • Develop workshop facilities to meet growing operational demands.
  • Provide expert customer advisory services and maintain high service standards.
  • Manage workshop performance to achieve KPI targets.
  • Allocate and manage workshop resources effectively.
  • Support the department team, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
  • Analyse procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
