Works Scheduler/Planner

Summary: The Works Planner/Scheduler role involves scheduling work to align with Delivery Units' plans and producing associated RIMINI plans, specifically within the rail industry. The position requires managing worksite bookings, raising Safe System of Work Packs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role is based in Birmingham and is for a duration of 6 months, necessitating prior rail experience. The candidate will also be responsible for data analysis and risk management related to maintenance delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of the Quarterly Work Plan.
• Manage alignment of plan and schedule at all times.
• Prepare all associated RIMINI plans and coordinate method statements.
• Monitor changes to ensure compliance with prescribed standards.
• Administer and maintain company databases, records, and work scheduling systems.
• Provide data analysis and reporting support to the Delivery Unit.
• Review and manage risks associated with maintenance delivery.

Key Skills:

• 12 months experience in infrastructure works delivery in an operational environment.
• Track record of achieving results in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Grounding in various planning techniques.
• Understanding of Company Standard RT/LS/S/019.
• Time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MIMS, P3e, and TRUST.
• Demonstrated relevant Railway experience.
• Able to absorb and recall large quantities of information quickly.
• Detailed understanding of financial issues.
