Summary: The Workforce Capability Specialist / Workforce Manager role is focused on enhancing workforce capability within a secure public sector environment in Burghfield. The position involves data analysis, reporting, and planning to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and resources for operational success. Candidates must hold or be eligible for DV clearance and will work primarily on-site. This is an initial 12-month contract paying £59 per hour inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the central point for workforce capability data, reporting and insights
  • Analysing workforce data to identify trends, risks and capability gaps
  • Working with stakeholders to define workforce capability requirements
  • Maintaining reporting on current and future workforce capability needs
  • Highlighting delivery risks and single points of failure within the workforce
  • Supporting senior leadership with clear workforce reporting and insights
  • Working with finance and internal teams to align workforce plans with budgets and delivery needs

Key Skills:

  • DV clearance or ability to obtain it
  • Experience in workforce capability, workforce planning, governance or people analytics
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex workforce data and present clear insights
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of GDPR and handling sensitive people data
  • Desirable: Power BI, Workday reporting, change management tools (Lean, Kaizen, ADKAR), or experience in highly regulated environments

We’re looking for a Workforce Capability Specialist / Workforce Manager for a secure public sector environment based in Burghfield on an initial 12-month contract paying £59 per hour inside IR35. This role requires 60% onsite working (typically 3 days onsite in a 5-day week and 2 days onsite in a 4-day week). You will need to either hold DV (Developed Vetting) clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the clearance process. This position will focus on workforce capability, reporting and workforce planning, helping the organisation understand whether it has the right skills and resources to meet operational delivery requirements.
